What would you like to celebrate?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 06, 2009:

My youth. I am only a teenager, and everyone else is in such a hurry to grow up and do "adult" things, but hey! I still want to live my life thoroughly as a teen. Growing up too fast is no fun because you miss out on the simplicites of your true age.

What has given you the most strength?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 10, 2009:

The belief in the ability of diversity and change for the better has always helped strengthen me through tough times. In other words, you could call it everlasting optimism. Optimism allows the soul to forever thrive, though i understand sometimes it is necessary to feel sadness and hurt in order to overcome it. With optimism, i have learned to be very accepting of diversity which lets me welcome many new opportunities and peope into my life, making it the all more intresting.

When were you last completely dependent on someone?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 21, 2009:

The last time i was completely dependent on someone was when my parents were going through tough times as they were separating. I am the eldest child and that title took on a whole new role for me due to the fact that my mother cannot read english that well. I depended on someone i love dearly which felt very unusual and different because i have always been an independent person. When it came time to rely on someone else, it was very hard and took a lot of time to do. It was a struggle, but in the end i knew emotionally i couldn't do it alone so i leaned on him. Without him, i dont know how i wouldve kept my head or accomplished the things i have because he is lik my own private therapist, offering the best advice at any time of day. ~I thank him all the time.

What do you have the hardest time giving?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 05, 2009:

It's hardest for me to give up my pride and confidence for someone else that also succeeds in the same way. This is definitely something that has gone down into my resolutions list.

Can you create something beautiful just by looking?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 20, 2009:

The pale white wall was as simple as any other  newly built wall but in that it was beautiful through its very own characteristics. The sea of white flooded my eyes in a cool calming innocence. The window centered in the white foam gazed brightly into the room. The paint peeled in the corners which only added  the white trim to the antiquity. The wall was simple, bold, and gracious in its longevity.

If you had to pick another religion to practice, what would it be

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

I believe in three gods that watch over me though i was born into the Roman Catholic Faith. God is a loving father that you can always call on for help in times of need. I don't believe in such a nasty thing as hell because how could someone who created us in a loving image condem us to something so tortured? Buddha as well remains my god. Buddha is different in that he is calm, and always willing to teach you his ways of accepting and life. While lastly, Allah is strong and fierce; willing to give you strength in time of weakness and need.

Friends and relationships are going most smoothly for me, because i have found the peace required and the ability to maintain a hectic life with friends and family on your side. Finding the correct balance has been truly amazing, and has only been going for the better.

Do you believe there is value in suffering?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2009:

Suffering is a way of life. Suffering is necessary to continue on your path and in Buddhism, you take suffering and you transform it in an accepting way. We as a people sometimes are over confident that nothing terrible could ever happen to us or hurt us in our invinciblity, but we are wrong. Because of this belief, when suffering strikes, it strikes harshly. Suffering can humble us in ways no one has seen before. Everyone will one day suffer, but no one should suffer endlessly. I think its a necessary companion of life.

What has your recent relationship to money been like?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Kathrine
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 13, 2009:

To me, it's highly fulfilling to save money, but lately, i just don't have that much because of the economic downfall which allows my spending to be very limited. I'm going to look into a good paying job to resolve this, and continue to save, while not spending on unnecessary products.
